Located in this area you will be able to visit the catacombs that are
the famous burial places in Paris and the museum of
the French postal service, which is called the Musee de la Poste,
but when it comes to eating out in Paris,
then there are some fabulous places to visit for every budget and one such place called Apollo, which is
an unusual family orientated restaurant with a 1970's style decor.
The Hotel Facilities
The Hotel des Voyageurs has completely free and unlimited access to the Internet through
an ADSL connection on 15 computers and twelve are located in rooms with the other three
being situated in the lounge area.
You can arrive early and leave your luggage, plus on the day of checkout you can also
leave your luggage so you can pick it up later, which means you do have to drag it around
the city with you, prior to getting your later flight or Eurostar train
back home.
Something rather unusual, but that just adds to the friendly and warmth of this Paris
hotel, is the fact that they also have cultural activities, which include theatre in the
garden, painting, sculpture exhibitions, mini concerts, guitar and breton accordian
lessons to name but a few things that take place here throughout the year.
Hotel Room Facilities
There are a total of 24 modern rooms and the Hotel des Voyageurs had air conditioning
installed into every room back in 2004, plus all of the rooms have a shower and toilet
along with a telephone and Satellite TV, which is actually quite unusual for a 1 star
hotel.
Rates as of 2008: A flat rate of 55 for a room for one or two people. Even
family rooms are only 75. Breakfast is only 5 per person and you can
have as much as you like, plus there are no hidden additional charges, so no horrible
surprises at the end of your stay!
