It is also close to the well known Pere Lechaise
cemetery where famous people like Edith Piaf,
Jim Morrison, Honor? de Balzac and Oscar Wilde are buried, along with the unusual Paris museum dedicated to the
air, environment and gravity called the Maison de l'Air.
The Hotel Facilities
There is a 24 hour reception with friendly, helpful staff that are multi-lingual and do
speak fluent English and they are more than happy to organise tickets for cabaret venues
such as Le Lido,
make reservations at the many Paris restaurants
and because they are in partnership with Disneyland Paris
you can book your tickets directly at the front desk.
The breakfast buffet is served each day from 7am through to 10am with a great variety on
offer and you can have as much as you like to get a good start for the hectic day ahead.
There is nice comfortable and cosy lounge along with a fully licensed bar only open to
guests where you can relax and enjoy a range of hot and cold beverages along with a wide
choice of alcoholic drinks such as French wines, etc, plus there
is a pool table, which is free to use for guests.
When it comes to keeping in touch with family or colleagues back home, then this is
definitely not problem at all, as not only does the Hotel Armstrong have free WiFi
internet access, but it also has a Cyber Caf? with computers you can utilise as well if
you do not have your own laptop or forget to bring it with you.
We mentioned earlier about relaxing and oh yes at this Paris hotel you can definitely do
that, because if you wish, you can even rent out their Sauna for your own private use!
If, however, you are arriving via your own transport, then being on the outskirts of
Paris, the Hotel Armstrong is relatively easy to find and there is a private car park for
guests, although a parking space would need to be reserved at the time of booking your
hotel room and this is only around €14 per day, which is actually a very reasonably
cost compared to most hotels or car parks in the city of Paris.
Hotel Room Facilities
There are 61 rooms at the Hotel Armstrong and they all come with an en-suite bathroom with
either a bath or shower complete with hairdryer.
Even though the hotel rooms are small and compact, they are clean, cosy, double glazed and
come with a desk, telephone, flat screen TV with Satellite TV and free WiFi internet
access.
Also, you even get a personal safe that is big enough to hold a laptop and there is no
additional charge for this, unlike many of the 2 star Paris hotels.
Rates as of 2010: A Single room is from €45, a Double room or Twin room is from
€50 and a Triple hotel room is from €60. The Continental breakfast is a
cost of €8 per person.
