Hotel Exelmans - 2 Star Hotel In Paris

The Hotel Exelmans is a two star budget hotel in the 16th Arrondissement in a reasonably peaceful area on the outskirts of the city and is close to the Maison de Radio-France museum, the unique Musee Armenien de France and the counterfeit museum called the Musée de la Contrafacon.

You will also be within easy reach of the River Seine, the Trocadero, CineAqua with the largest tropical fish tank, the Musee de la Marine that is one of the largest maritime museums, the Musee du Vin where you can learn about the history of wine and do wine tasting and the French museum of mankind called the Musée de l'Homme.

The Hotel Facilities

There is a 24 hour reception at the Hotel Exelmans where the staff will try and help you get the most out of your stay in Paris, but unfortunately this hotel is not suitable for the less able due to the fact that there is no lift unless you book the Executive room on the ground floor.

The continental breakfast is an all you can eat buffet style that includes delights such as freshly baked pastries and fresh fruit, which you can enjoy in the breakfast room decorated with nice pastel shades or out in the courtyard on a nice day with their wooden tables and chairs.

There is also free WiFi available and you can arrange parking for a daily charge if you are arriving via car rather than Eurostar or plane.

Hotel Room Facilities

The Standard hotel rooms available are small and basic and actually quite old fashioned and consist of either a double bed or two singles a TV and a small bathroom.

The Superior rooms at the Hotel Exelmans have recently bee renovated and are slightly larger with exposed beams, rustic and antique furniture, which in some ways makes the rooms look old, but they also have a small work desk, a new en-suite marble bathroom that is complete with hairdryer and a TV with Satellite TV.

The Executive room is, as mentioned before, on the ground floor of this Paris hotel and overlooks the courtyard garden and is the same design as the Superior rooms and of a similar size.

But there is also a Junior Suite available at the Hotel Exelmans that consists of two room which are separated by sliding doors and this consists of a bedroom and a lounge, which is ideal for those that want more space, but it can also accommodate up to four people such as a family.  The Junior Suite comes with a flat screen TV and Satellite TV and a private bathroom complete with hairdryer.

Rates as of 2010: Sorry, unavailable.  However, sometimes you can get breakfast included in the price, so it is worth checking.
