Also within the same area you could choose to visit the Cabaret Cirque at the
Zebre de Belleville, which is obviously a circus, Barrio Latino,
which is a bar a restaurant and a nightclub all rolled into one and occupies a space that
was originally designed by Gustav Eiffel who of course was the designer for the most
famous monument in Paris, the Eiffel Tower or the Tribar which has a
magician on certain nights.
There are numerous other places to eat out and enjoy entertainment such as La Casbah and Barracao, plus
Paris restaurants
such as the Blue Elephant
and Wok Cooking to name but a few, but lets get back to the hotel!
The Hotel Facilities
The Hotel Voltaire Republique has a 24 hour reception desk with multilingual staff and a
concierge service where they provide you with services for booking restaurants, shows,
tours, etc and are there to help make your stay as fulfilling as possible.
WiFi Internet access is available throughout the hotel both in common parts and within the
rooms and is completely free of charge, plus there is a business corner with a photocopy
machine, fax machine and printers.
This Paris hotel has access for the disabled with some rooms catering especially for these
needs, along with a lift for added convenience and even your beloved pets are allowed to
accompany you.
An iron and ironing board are available upon request and there is also a safe at reception
if required.
Rather unusual for a 2 Star Hotel in Paris,
there is a small fitness area, which is open from 6am through to 11pm and has an exercise
bike and stepper, plus a sauna.
There is a cosy atmosphere within the breakfast room where a buffet style breakfast, which
they have called the "Sweet and Savoury Breakfast" is served daily from 7am
through to 10am and you can request a wake up call if desired, plus some international
newspapers are available if you want to keep up to date.
The Hotel Rooms
There are two types of rooms at the Hotel Paris Voltaire Republique which are either
standard or superior and for either one person or two people, but bear in mind that there
are no family rooms available although a baby cot can be put into the room if requested at
the time of booking.
Each room is equipped with its own bathroom that includes a hairdryer plus they have a
flat screen TV with either cable or satellite, a direct dial telephone with voice mail
service and WiFi Internet connection.
It is very unusual for hotels in Europe to provide tea and coffee making facilities, but
this is another added benefit of staying here.
When it comes to superior rooms, you get the additional benefits of having a small corner
lounge area and a desk. Also, when it comes to the bathrooms there are showers or
even whirlpool baths available and you are provided with dressing gowns or bath robes as
they are also known.
Rates as of 2009: A single room is from 90 and a double room is from 95 with
the sweet and savoury buffet breakfast being 10 per person.
