Hotel Royal Fromentin - 3 Star Hotel In Paris

Once a popular cabaret venue called Le Don Juan, the three star Hotel Royal Fromentin has retained the 1930's character, but with renovated rooms also provides modern comfort.

Here you can experience art deco design windows on the staircase that leads up to the 7th floor, but also an antique lift that takes you back in time with its wood panelling and glass doors for a very unusual and theatre like décor that is so in keeping with the period and the area.

Located in the 9th Arrondissement of Paris close to the Montmartre area and the Moulin Rouge that has become famous for its Can-Can girls, there are numerous places to visit within walking distance like the Opera National de Paris Palais Garnier and the waxwork museum based upon Madame Tussauds called the Musee Grevin.  But by utilising the Metro you can reach other parts of the city with ease or if you have arrived via your own transport, then you will be please to know that there is a public car park only around 200 metres away from the hotel.

The famous drink Absinthe was very popular in this area of Paris and the Hotel Royal Fromentin has revived the myth in a book along with the mythical bar at the former Don Juan Cabaret where you can let your imagination wander and take a step back in time whist you sip this unusual delight that was the fashionable drink of writers, artists and actors in years gone by.

The Hotel Facilities

There is a 24 hour reception with concierge services available for booking tickets at cabaret venues and shows, making reservations at the many Paris restaurants and much more, plus the staff not only speak French, but also English, German, Italian and Spanish.

With the traditional 1930's lobby there is a computer you can utilise with free internet access and the hotel are looking at getting free WiFi for each room, but they haven't at the moment.

There is a laundry and baby sitting service along with room service and as we mentioned earlier, a bar along with a lounge called the Grand Salon where you can enjoy a coffee or relaxing drink of an evening.

The continental breakfast can be served either in the breakfast room or in your room if you prefer, plus there is a meeting room along with a fax machine and photocopier that are also available.

Hotel Room Facilities

Each of the 47 hotel rooms has been recently renovated and are decorated in a typical French style, plus many of the rooms have spectacular views of the Sacre Coeur Basilica.

The hotel rooms all have double glazing and an en-suite bathroom complete with hair dryer, plus each room at the Hotel Royal Fromentin is equipped with a direct dial telephone, Satellite TV and Cable TV.

Baby cots are available upon request at the time of booking, although there is an additional charge of €34 for this.

Rates as of 2010: A Single room is €139, a Double room is €159 and a Triple hotel room is €207.  A Quadruple room is €248 and the Continental breakfast is a cost of €10 per person.
