The name of this Paris hotel was
chosen to awaken your five senses. The first being smell, where you can choose
between five different fragrances for your hotel room. Then there is touch, which
provokes you to think about the materials used around the Five Hotel such as Chinese
lacquering, velvets, ceramics, etc. When it comes to taste, this is all about the
breakfast for a good start to the day and then there is hearing, which is of course the
idea of you having a restful nights sleep.
Sight is the last sense and the designer interior lets your eyes wander to numerous
features from the star studded ceilings to the fibre optics lights and the luminous glass
desks through to the Asian art of lacquering, to name but a few unusual features.
The Hotel Facilities
There is a 24 hour reception at this Paris hotel with
multi-lingual staff that are there to help make your stay as enjoyable as possible, but
when it comes to venturing outside of the hotel, they can also help with making
reservations at the many Paris restaurants,
booking tickets for shows and cabarets, etc and the languages spoken are of course French,
but also English, German, Italian and Spanish.
There is a fax machine and a photocopier plus free WiFi internet access throughout the
hotel and you will be pleased to know that there is a lift, so no dragging your luggage up
flights of stairs.
If you arrive early or are leaving late, then The Five Hotel has a secure luggage room and
also a laundry service available.
To get the day off to a good start there is a buffet style continental breakfast that is
served in the breakfast room from 7am through to 10am, however, you can also opt for room
service for this, but there is also a comfortable open lounge area by the reception where
you can sit and read, meet up with friends or just relax after a day of sight seeing.
Hotel Room Facilities
Like most of the hotels in Paris, the Standard rooms are quite small, yet are beautifully
designed and as we quickly mentioned earlier, you can choose from a range of five perfume
fragrances to be set in your room prior to your arrival, plus you will also find rose
petals sprinkled on your bed for that romantic touch.
The designer bathrooms have fibre optic lights on the shower walls for an unusual ambiance
that seems to make the water change colours.
There are also suites available at The Five Hotel which can accommodate up to four people
or are ideal for that romantic getaway and they have fibre optic lights that you can
adjust in colour and intensity depending upon your mood that are in the bedroom and the
bathroom that also has a Jacuzzi.
Of course, all of the hotel rooms come with the usual facilities such as air conditioning,
soundproofing, TV and Satellite TV, telephone, free WiFi internet access and a personal
safe.
Rates as of 2010: A Standard Single room is from 119, a Superior for one or two
people is from 139, Luxury Superior hotel room is from 249 and a Suite for one
to four people is from 339.
