The Hotel Facilities
When you arrive at the Hotel de Vigny the first thing you will see are the impressive
revolving doors and friendly doormen to help you, plus if you are arriving via your own
transport rather than plane or Eurostar,
then there is no need to worry. In fact, even though the hotel is in the centre of
Paris, there is the option of being able to put your car in their secure car park.
The best bit is that you can even get your luggage sorted and up to your room, whilst
handing over your keys to one of the professional chauffeurs so that your car gets parked
securely for you, but you do need to think about booking a car parking space prior to
arrival and preferably at the time when you make your room reservation.
The Hotel de Vigny obviously has a reception with multi-lingual staff that speak many
different languages, along with a full concierge service and also 24 hour room service
whether it be for breakfast of for a more substantial meal. But as you would expect
from this calibre of hotel, the staff are always there to help you get the most out of
your holiday in France
in what some would say, the most beautiful 'city of lights'.
The lobby area has comfy armchairs and a lovely open fireplace, which is always lit in
winter, so this is a really inviting place to sit and read a newspaper or meet up with
your friends before the long day ahead.
The hotel has a bar that is open until the early hours and has an impressive wine list
with numerous excellent quality French wines plus international choices that will satisfy
most connoisseurs, along with traditional and imaginative cocktails, not forgetting soft
drinks and hot beverages.
The Baretto bar and lounge are a place of elegance and intimacy and are an ideal place to
relax after a hectic day of shopping or sightseeing, meeting up with friends or perhaps
enjoying a night-cap after having been to the opera or one of the famous Paris cabaret
venues.
But if it is early evening, you could even try one of the appetisers available to
complement your favourite drink, prior to eating out in Paris
or indeed at the hotel's very own restaurant.
Talking of restaurants, Le Baretto has been the elegant restaurant at the Hotel de Vigny
for over 20 years serving traditional French cuisine with a twist by using different Asian
spices and lighter cooking techniques in a setting that is perfect for a romantic
dinner. The menu is constant changing depending upon what produce is available, but
you could experience delights such as Norwegian smoked salmon served with toast, dill
butter and a crispy salad or Argentina beef carpaccio, ruchetta salad and parmesan plus
preserved artichokes, yet from the lounge menu you can also have things like a club
sandwich served with shoestring potatoes or salad.
The restaurant is also available to hire for private functions and because Le Baretto
restaurant is always very popular, it is advised to make a reservation and sometimes you
can even organise something that little extra special for an occasion like an anniversary
or engagement.
Hotel Room Facilities
The rooms at the Hotel de Vigny have all the modern up to date amenities you would expect,
but without losing their charm and authentic character that even includes antique and
classic furniture, so they obviously have soundproofing plus individually controlled air
conditioning along with carpets and lush fabrics.
The bathrooms at this hotel are like a masterpiece in themselves, clad with spotted black
marble, brown and beige trim, retro brass fittings and cut glass lamps, plus they have a
hairdryer, bath robes and slippers provided.
Each hotel room comes equipped with a direct dial telephone with data ports and voice
mail, a TV and Cable TV, mini-bar, personal safe and WiFi internet connection and if you
opt for a Deluxe room then you also get a seating area plus an additional bed can be added
to the room and there is no additional charge if it is for a child aged 6 or under.
In a Junior Suite you get a full bathroom including bidet, a separate living room with
seating area, a radio, CD player and a DVD player plus an additional bed can be added free
of charge for a child up to the age of 11.
The Suites at the Hotel de Vigny are all unique in their decoration and they even have a
hallway that separates the lounge from the bedroom. Again you get the added extras
like in the Junior Suite, but you will also find a Jacuzzi within the bathroom for even
more relaxation.
