Altitude 95 Restaurant at the Eiffel Tower Paris

Do you fancy eating out somewhere a little different?  Well now you can at the Altitude 95, which is a restaurant situated on the first floor of the most famous and most visit monument in Paris, the Eiffel Tower.

Originally constructed by Gustave Eiffel, the Eiffel Tower is an icon that everyone has heard of, and the Altitude 95 is named after the height above sea level to which it stands on the first floor of the Eiffel Tower and it allows its customers to experience the magnificent views of the Trocadero, the River Seine and Paris itself from one of the most fantastic view points.

Altitude 95 Restaurant at the Eiffel Tower Paris

You can choose to have a lunch or dinner in the heart of the structure of the Eiffel Tower and the large windows not only provide an excellent view outside, but also reveal the inner structure of the Eiffel Tower.  Also Altitude 95 is split so that you can have a drink in the ground floor bar area before you go up the unusually shaped stairs to the dining area.

Drinks and snacks are served all day in the bar on the lower floor of the restaurant and a lunch menu is available from a Monday to Saturday, but not on bank holidays.

The setting of Altitude 95 is refined, but also casual within the restaurant and bar, with both the downstairs and upstairs having sleek hardwood floors, and a design that is accentuated by brass motifs, yet it is not really a great idea to wear jeans or trainers, as most people will be dressed far more elegantly for the occasion.

Reservations must be made prior to arrival and they serve traditional French cuisine with some of the popular favourites in French food such as steak tartare and foie gras, but to get a table next to one of the windows, you must make a reservation well in advance.

You may have also realised that there are actually two main restaurants within the Eiffel Tower and the second is at the top called the Jules Verne Restaurant and obviously both of these are more expensive than many restaurants in Paris, basically because of their location.

Restaurant Guide Key Points

The Altitude 95 Restaurant is open every day of the week between the hours of 12pm to 2pm, 7pm to 8.45pm and 9pm to 11.15pm.

Suitable for all age groups including families.

There is no particular dress code, but most people do dress smartly and it is definitely advisable to avoid jeans and trainers.

It is traditional French cuisine with a price ranging anything from ?60 upwards depending upon what you choose and when you wish to dine and all major credit cards are accepted.

Reservations are required in advance either by telephone or by fax and only seating around 200 people, it does get rather booked, so make sure that you make your reservation well in advance of arriving in Paris.

We are sure that you will know how to get to the Eiffel Tower, but the nearest station is La Tour Maubourg.
