The MCM Café is actually situated in the original building that
housed the famous cabaret venue the Moulin Rouge and
is located in the red-light district of Pigalle in the 18th arrondissement near Montmartre
in Paris on the right bank of the River Seine.
It has a capacity of about 500 people and is very, very popular for gigs especially with
the Parisians, yet is not very well known by tourists.
But because of the popularity of the MCM Café
when there are good bands playing, unless you have already purchased a ticket, it is often
unlikely that you will be able to get in.
The times that the MCM Cafe is open seem to vary so it would be an idea to contact the
establishment prior to arrival.
The dress code is casual and they do serve food as well as drinks and many have commented
that it is great food at a reasonable price especially when compared to many bars and restaurants in Paris.
