The location of the Café de l'Esplanade probably has something
to do with its decor, as it is situated in the 7th Arrondissement of Paris overlooking Les Invalides, where you can visit Napoleon's
tomb, plus it is only a short walk to reach the Musee
Rodin and the River Seine.
But not only is it close to Les Invalides, it is located in a very popular area of Paris
in the same arrondissement as the Eiffel Tower and
the Musee D'Orsay, so as you can imagine, it has
become a very popular place for breakfasts, lunches and dinners.
The cafe has a fusion style Brasserie menu with exceedingly good quality food and is not
like many of the cafes in Paris, as it
serves everything from salads to sandwiches, American style breakfasts to soups, pasta to
fish and traditional lunches as well.
Like most places to eat out in Paris, that
are in some of the best locations, it is more than likely to be on the costly side, rather
than some of the out of the way cafes and Paris
bistros that you may happen to come across, but with the quality of service matching
the food, it is well worth stopping here for a break before taking in more tourist attractions.
Restaurant Guide Key Points
The cost for a complete meal can range from 39 up to around 83 depending upon
what you order and whether it be an evening meal or a lunch, but obviously there are
plenty of other cheaper options available and they have some delicious home-made pastries
and cakes.
Like many restaurants in Paris,
reservations are required to have a full meal here as it is so popular, yet it is suitable
for all ages and the dress code is general casual chic.
The nearest Metro station is La Tour Maubourg
