On a Saturday and Sunday the Curieux Spaghetti Bar provides an
all you can brunch, where for a set amount you can choose from a wide variety of things
buffet style along with the bowls of spaghetti of course.
They do nibbles, through to starters, main courses and deserts to die for and you can
choose the price range from the menu exactly for your budget as all dishes are
individually priced.
The place is creative and friendly, yet always extremely busy and with a chic Italian
inspiration, these are just some of the reasons for the success of Le Curieux Spaghetti
Bar restaurant, which is a very unique place
situated in the Marais area of Paris with the Pompidou Centre situated just across the
street. And walking to the top of the centre can certainly get a rid of a few extra
calories after over indulging on the glorious food.
For drinks they do everything from coffee to mulled wine, herbal teas, non alcoholic
drinks such as water, coke, orange juice, etc and alcoholic beverages such as wine, beer,
spirits, cocktails, champagne, etc
The coffee bar is open until midnight and there is a happy hour from 4pm through to 8pm
where you can buy one drink and get a second free, but only on selected drinks.
You can also try a 'chup' which is exclusive to Curieux and these are exotic flavoured
vodka shots with mixes such as pina colada, passion fruit, caramel, watermelon, ginger,
tangerine, etc that are served in what we would calss as a 'kiddies tub'
The Spag Brunch, as it is known is a buffet style served on a Saturday and Sunday from
Noon through to 4pm. However, you do have to book in advance to ensure you get a
place and the Curieux does not accept same day reservations as they always get too busy,
so you would need to telephone them in advance on: 1 42 72 75 97.
The buffet comprises items such as coffee, tea, milk, fruit juice, pastries, such as
croissants, pains au chocolat, bread, etc, then onto things like smoked salmon, cooked and
cold meats, like ham, sausages, bacon, kebabs, plus eggs, salads, cheeses, fruit, desserts
and even sweets.
You can even opt for a bowl of soup in the winter or other things available include the
traditional spaghetti with a choice of toppings, or hot pancakes and syrup, etc.
There is so much choice you will not know where to start, but remember that you cannot eat
here unless you have booked.
From a Monday through to a Friday the food is served at the10-metre-long bar with
chandeliers hanging overhead. Yet after around 10pm the spaghetti and bruschettas
make way for those unique Chups.
You even get provided with a free bib so as to avoid those inevitable spaghetti stains on
your clothes and believe me, everyone will wear one, so you will not feel awkward.
So why not enjoy the friendly and stylish atmosphere with no attitude and a great mix of
international and trendy crowds, you can even enjoy DJ nights that usually run at the
weekends.
Le Curieux Spaghetti Bar is open from Noon to 2am on a Sunday through to Wednesday and
