The Ice Kube, Kube Rooms, Bars and Restaurant

The Ice Kube is a very unusual bar, which you can probably guess by the name, is actually made out of ice and is the very first ice bar in Paris that is situated within a building with a historical façade.

The Ice Kube is just a small part of the building that is called the Kube Rooms and Bars, which is home to a 41 room hotel designed for the ultra modern traveller along with a lounge bar plus restaurant, and as you enter it becomes a completely different world of high tech, contemporary designs and a trendy atmosphere for people to enjoy.

The Ice Kube, Kube Rooms, Bars and Restaurant

The reception area is housed in a glowing Plexiglas cube that was thought of from The Louvre and the furnishings inside are very much in a retro come futuristic style that is a great accompaniment to the Ice Kube, which is a highlight for many people that visit this extraordinary place.

The Ice Kube is tucked away in a quiet street in the 18th Arrondissement of Paris only a few steps away from Montmartre and for a charge this will gain you entrance along with a winter parka and a pair of gloves so that you do not feel too cold.  Having a capacity of only twenty people at a time, there is time limit of half an hour with a tasting of cocktails made with Grey Goose Vodka from cone-shaped ice glasses.

It is the only ice bar in the Capital City of Paris and has been constructed from 25 tons of ice then kept at a constant temperature of minus 5 degrees Celsius.  So as you can imagine, not only tourists, but also Parisians wish to experience this unusual concept and then normally after their half hour is up, they will move on to the bar and restaurant downstairs for dinner or more cocktails afterwards.

The Ice Kube is open to all, not just to guests staying at the hotel, which, by the way is a cost of 250€ upwards per night depending upon the type of room you require and dinner at the Kube Restaurant is also a completely different experience, with nibbles coming in strange little dispensers that pop the contents into your mouth, plus the theme of cubes is never far away from your sight, such as in the designs of the condiments.
