Montparnasse 25 is actually situated on the Left Bank of the River Seine close to the Latin Quarter, yet just steps away
from Saint-Germain-des-Pr?s, the Luxembourg Gardens and also the Eiffel Tower. But the hotel itself is also
ideally situated to explore the cultural centre of Paris,
which is home to the Bohemian way of life and is located close to lively entertainment,
lots of Paris cafes and for some, the
Parisian nightlife.
If you like the idea of a gourmet meal and fine dining in a cosy and romantic setting,
then you will not be disappointed, as the Chef Christian Moine has previously worked at
some of the top restaurants in Paris like
The Ritz and utilises only the freshest seasonal ingredients available, to provide haute
cuisine dishes to remember.
In fact, having attained a Michelin star award, everything on the menu is made in house,
including the bread and although the cuisine is typically French, with the fantastic
creativity of the chef and his staff, each dish is exquisitely prepared to bring out the
best in the flavours.
The truffle dishes are not to be missed when they are in season, but some of the other
delights you may be able to experience are duck with apricots, tamarind juice accompanied
by Grenailles potatoes and seasonal mushrooms, John Dory and seaweeds, Bresse chicken with
foie gras, dandelion leaf and truffle oil, oysters with a white lemon sauce, parsley,
curcuma and young leeks, roasted leg of rabbit with violet mustard, veal with curcuma
slow-simmered tomatoes and creamed pasta, saddle of rabbit loin with kidneys and lemon
thyme accompanied by Charlotte potatoes au gratin with old Comt? cheese or turbot slices
with glazed with tangy carrots and braised stuffed small artichokes.
The wine and the service match the setting perfectly to make your dining experience a
pleasure and the sommelier will be able to guide you to the most appropriate wine as there
are over four hundred references, including some fantastic organic wines from different wine
regions in France.
Restaurant Guide Key Points
This Paris restaurant is open on a Monday to
Friday from noon until 2.30pm and in the evening from 7.30pm through to 10pm, but is
closed on a Saturday and Sunday.
Montparnasse 25 is highly praised by the best gourmet guides around and therefore
reservations are recommended, plus it is also accessible to the disabled, making this
restaurant even more popular, so we would definitely suggest booking prior.
It is suitable for all, from the family through to a romantic dinner for two and the dress
code is smart, more towards business attire.
There is of course the A la Carte Menu, with the average cost of a main course being
around 45 upwards, but there are also two special menus.
Something known as the Business Lunch menu is obviously served at a lunchtime and includes
a starter, main course and coffee for only 50 and having a choice of four starters
and four main courses this has been designed for people with time restraints.
Called the Menu D?gustation at 110 with seven courses, this is a tasting menu
served of an evening and is a great way of experiencing lots of different dishes on offer
without breaking the bank.
Parking is available at the hotel, however, if you are using public transport then the
nearest Metro station is the Montparnasse.
